Lübeck-based medical and safety equipment
manufacturer Dräger has signed a 10-year leasing deal with German
hospital operator Gesundheit Nordhessen Holding, (GNH).
The medical technology leasing agreement is
reported to be worth €60 million.
The supervisory and executive boards of GNH
are said to be transferring responsibility for the operation of
about 10,000 electro-medical devices to Dräger, which is to provide
a state-of-the-art medical technology infrastructure from June
1.
According to the terms of the agreement,
Dräger will renew all devices and provide maintenance for them as
well as an ongoing supply of consumables without GNH purchasing any
ownership shares.
Dräger has also moved its maintenance office directly onto the
premises of the GNH clinic in Kassel.
