BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions has become a patron of UK broker association the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB).

The lessor said its patronage and support of the NACFB indicated its commitment to nurturing existing relationships with brokers as well as forging new connections within the wider broker network.

BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions said the NACFB works with a growing community of brokers in the commercial vehicle, agriculture and construction sectors, as well as engaging with brokers in the ICT market.

Its in-house finance training programme, Finance Unlocked, has been well-attended by brokers and contributes to improving industry standards.

Nigel Samson, head of ELS Vendor Business, BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions UK said: “When oversight for our industry moved from the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the NACFB stepped in to provide greater support to businesses in the asset broker space.

“The NACFB’s role has become increasingly important as regulators’ expectations have become more exacting. Our broker channel is a vital element of our business and we fully support sectors of the industry that embrace self-regulation and best practice. We look forward to working with the NACFB and furthering our commitment to the commercial finance industry.”
