Job Description :

Our client is seeking a Credit Risk Manager – UK, S Eng (ref: J2013) to manage their invoice finance risk management framework by designing and implementing effective processes to identify, manage, monitor and report the risks to which the business has or may be exposed too. You will also develop and implement credit and lending strategy to support the growth of the Invoice Finance business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop, maintain and update the risk governance framework.
  • Develop the risk infrastructure, process and reporting.
  • Develop risk mitigation plans and controls, policies and procedures Business Finance’s Invoice Finance principal risks.
  • Develop risk elements for incorporating into performance metrics.
  • Promote a risk culture across the businesses invoice finance and ensure that responsibilities and accountabilities when performing risk and control assessments are understood.
  • Sanctioning of new customer applications and facility variations.
  • Manage audit resources by ensuring best practice is adopted and continually reassessed.
  • Perform interim internal audits to monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Support Operations staff in the review and management of customer facilities.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • ‘A’ level (or equivalent) but degree level (or equivalent) in a business discipline desirable.
  • 5 years’ experience of underwriting transactions within the Invoice Finance lending environment and having held a personal lending mandate.
  • Experience of discussing accounting information on a face to face basis with customers to obtain additional information and experience of deal structuring and strengthening proposals also required.
  • A thorough understanding of business risk, credit risk, market risk and operational risk.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills across all levels of the business.
  • Be able to organise and prioritise workload to deliver robust credit and risk management, helping the business to achieve its business goals.
  • Strong leadership and communication capabilities together with matrix management skills.

We strongly favour applicants with proven relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing.
