Bullwell Trailer Solutions has extended its trailer repair and maintenance contract with UK Mail by an additional three years.
The Ryder subsidiary will be responsible for its trailer fleet of 321 trailers, and this deal follows a previous 5-year contract.
Ian Edmonson, head of fleet and linehaul at UK Mail Group, said: “Bulwell works as an integrated part of our maintenance team, and having their technicians at our depots every day proves highly beneficial.
“Our fleet includes complicated machinery, such as moving double deck trailers, which requires specialist expertise. Bullwell helps keep UK Mail’s trailer fleet compliant, which is our number one priority.”
The Staffordshire-based Bullwell was acquired by Ryder in 2014, and provides nationwide mobile trailer repair and maintenance services.
Gary Bulley, managing director of Bullwell Trailer Solutions, said: “Our specialist maintenance team, based on site with UK Mail, works hard to keep their vehicles on the road and their utilisation high. The only time we take a UK Mail trailer off site is for the MOT once a year.
“Our service is supported by sophisticated data analysis, which tracks all repairs and maintenance, and helps our technicians identify recurring issues, offer solutions, and deliver continuous improvement to the client.”
