Graham Drew, who joined BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions in 2018, has been appointed to head up the UK operations of the lessor’s IT lifecycle management joint venture with 3stepIT.
Drew will be charged with supporting Britain’s mid-market, corporate and public sector organisations to make the transition to sustainable IT management, the company said in a press release.
He will report to CEO Carmen Ene.
Since joining BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions Drew has held several senior roles, including head of bank leasing services.
He has most recently served as general manager for CNH Industrial Capital UK.
Drew is expected to play a central role in driving growth and customer acquisition for the joint venture, which now operates in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, and The Netherlands, with additional coverage across the Nordics through 3stepIT.
The company operates five refurbishment centres, including one in England, where redundant IT devices are refurbished for reuse. In 2020, it processed over half a million devices, saving them from landfill, with 98 per cent of end-of-contract devices given a second life.
Carmen Ene, CEO of BNP Paribas 3 Step IT & 3stepIT, said: “The UK market represents an opportunity to reach thousands of large business customers who need support to manage their enterprise IT more efficiently and sustainably. Graham’s appointment is a statement of our intent to seize that opportunity head on.”
Jason Skidmore, chief commercial officer of BNP Paribas 3 Step IT & 3stepIT, said: “The UK has announced plans to tackle the electronic waste crisis and reach net-zero, with a number of changes in the pipeline. This means change is afoot for businesses too, with the transition to a more sustainable approach to IT management becoming increasingly urgent. Graham’s vast experience in business development and operational excellence will undoubtedly help to support these businesses to transition to a greener approach to enterprise IT, and in turn, accelerate the execution of our ambitious growth plan.”
