Britain’s used van values increased 2.7
percent in December 2009, according to the latest figures from
British Car Auctions (BCA).
Average values increased from £3,902 to
£4,008, establishing a new high point for light commercial
vehicles, the auction house said.
Average values were up almost £1,000 compared
with January 2009.
Duncan Ward, head of BCA’s commercial vehicle
sales, said: “2009 has recovered all of the ground lost in 2008 and
a little bit more.”
“With small businesses being significant
buyers in the used commercial market, this suggests that confidence
is returning to the SME sector,” he added.
