director of Siemens Financial Services (SFS), has stepped down to
join a client of his former employer after 20 years at the
company.
The move occurs just weeks after SFS’s appointment of James Gearey
as the new head of the UK arm of the company.
Barthet, who joined SFS in 1988, is a leading light in the
Finance & Leasing Association and chairs its technology
committee. He has been replaced at SFS by Derek Ryan, SFS’s former
director of specialist business and corporate development.
Barthet has joined Annodata Business Solutions, one of SFS’s key
clients. Positions held by Barthet during his 20 years at SFS
include acting as divisional director of technology finance and
also a regional manager based in Croydon. He took up his most
recent post in 2001.
Prior to joining Siemens, Ryan had roles in change management
consultancy, strategy, business development and investment banking
in companies as diverse as Gateway Computers, Willett International
and HSBC. He graduated from Trinity College Dublin in business and
economics and holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
