The European Investment Bank (EIB) is lending Raiffeisen-Leasing International €60 million for its divisions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
Raiffeisen Leasing’s unit in Bosnia and Herzegovina will get €40 million, while the Serbian unit is to get the remaining €20 million, Raiffeisen said.
The loans are aimed at local small and medium-sized businesses as well as the public sectors of the two markets.
Raiffeisen International’ CEO Herbert Stepic commented: “By working together, Raiffeisen and the EIB will provide a significant boost to the SME and public sectors in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and thus help to strengthen the backbone of the two countries’ economies.”
