Metro Bank has appointed John Nelson as head of invoice finance at Metro Bank SME Finance.

Nelson will be responsible for leading the invoice finance sales team towards their substantial growth plans over the coming years, as well as managing key introductory sources, and will report directly into Richard Saulet, director of Metro Bank SME Finance.

Nelson has had 15 year career in the asset-based lending industry, leading teams including Lloyds Commercial Finance, GE Capital and Royal Bank of Scotland. Prior to this, Nelson held a number of roles at Lloyds Bank, including in branch and within the SME and commercial lending function.
