Lombard has financed a £440,000 venture to bring S&D Leisure
together with JG Services and Smart Solutions to form the largest
independent fleet of mobile simulators in Europe.
The new business, S&D Simulations, will operate six mobile
units, having purchased four new machines in a deal funded by the
asset finance arm of RBS.

They include a Renault Formula One racing team simulator and
three flight simulators, replicating the experience of flying
aircraft including a Harrier Jump Jet and Euro Fighter.
Jonathan Smart, director of S&D Simulations, said of the
deal: “By pooling knowledge and resources we have a great
opportunity to expand the business and offer a better service to
existing clients.”
Richard Fothergill, relationship manager at Lombard, added:
“These are experienced sector operators. The newly enlarged company
benefits from greater resources and reduced overheads, which gives
them a strong position in the market.”
