The addition of six new Atego 816 Luton Box vehicles to the Kent-based company takes its fleet to 28, and underlines the advantages of contract hire in the current economic climate, according to Rael Winetroube, general manager contract hire at Mercedes-Benz CharterWay.
Lombard in £440K flight simulator deal Lombard has financed a £440,000 venture to bring S&D Leisure together with JG Services and Smart Solutions to form the largest independent fleet of mobile simulators in Europe. The new business, S&D Simulations, will operate six mobile units, having purchased four new machines in a deal funded by the asset finance arm of RBS.

The contract covers outsourced management of a diverse fleet of 450 company cars and 550 commercial vehicles, building on a partnership established in 2004. It also includes the outsourced management of the company car fleet, purchasing and disposal services related to British Waterways outright purchase of all commercial vehicles mainly Ford Transits and Rangers the maintenance management of all vehicles, accident management, fuel card administration and the utilisation of Inchcape Fleet Solutions Premier Service.
