Leasing software provider International Decision Systems (IDS)
has appointed Thomas L. Thomas as executive chairman.
Thomas has more than 35 years of experience in the software
industry, and in his most recent role he was president and COO of
technology provider GXS.

Thomas said: “IDS has a strong and effective management team and
an experienced board of directors, I am pleased to join them to
help continue and expand the company’s long track record of market
leadership.”
Nicholas Somers, managing partner of SV Investment Partners, the
private equity owner of IDS, added: “Tom will add a deep background
in enterprise software to our management team and our experienced
and accomplished board of directors.”
In his new role, he will work with both management and the board
on the company’s global growth strategy.
