Blackburn-based UK asset finance company Haydock Finance has appointed ex-CIT business development director Paul Fazakerley to the role of sales & marketing director.

Fazakerley will be responsible for developing new asset finance opportunities, and has over 20 years in the industry with funders including HSBC Asset Finance and GE Capital.

His recruitment forms part of a series of recent appointments for Haydock, including Mark Forsythe (customer services manager), Pam Robinson (regional manager, formerly at Praetura), Carol Reilly (customer service support, formerly at Praetura), Andrew Darby (senior underwriter formerly at Ford Credit) & Kamran Kayani (senior underwriter formerly at Euler Hermes).

Darby and Kayani will be managed by Ian Barr, credit and risk director.

Fazakerley said: "I’m delighted to be starting my new role as sales director within an independent finance company that continues to grow due to a market-leading level of service, flexible credit appetite and extensive knowledge of the business critical assets financed.

"I’m really looking forward to continuing this growth with both our existing introducers and business partners, and with new opportunities throughout 2016 and beyond."
