Agricultural and construction equipment manufacturer Case New
Holland (CNH) and KAMAZ JSC, the Russian heavy truck maker, have
agreed to establish a joint venture and develop an industrial and
commercial alliance in Russia.
The joint venture, which is set to commence in 2010, will allow
Fiat-owned CNH to produce CNH agricultural and construction
equipment in KAMAZ’s centre in Tatarstan, and benefit from KAMAZ’s
dealer network in the country.

According to the definitive agreement, CNH and KAMAZ should
integrate their networks in order to distribute in the Russian
Federation both localized and imported CNH agricultural and
construction equipment.
Fiat’s CEO Sergio Marchionne said: “CNH would bring
technological know-how, an existing distribution network, retail
finance and leasing solutions and access to an extensive supply
base and relevant economies of scale.”
