A strong demand continued to fuel prices in
the UK used light commercial vehicle market last month, British Car
Auctions (BCA) figures have shown.

Average LCV values were £4,500 (€5,122) in
March, 1.8 percent down compared to February, but almost £1,000
above March 2009 figures.

Over the quarter, van prices averaged £4,507,
an increase of £593 compared to the figure recorded in the last
quarter of 2009.

Reflecting the price performance, CAP figures
remained strong in March, reaching an average 102.28 percent.

BCA’s general manager for commercial vehicles
Duncan Ward said: “Values are significantly ahead of those recorded
in 2009, and if demand stays at current levels we would expect
prices to remain firm going forward.”
