
ALD Automotive has acquired Dutch fleet lessor Bright Lease, adding 1,100 vehicles to its fleet. The deal value was not disclosed.
The merger will give ALD Automotive a fleet of almost 30,000 vehicles in the Netherlands, with the company having more than 1.2 million vehicles worldwide.
Following the acquisition, expected to be finalised on the 1st of March, Bright Lease will continue to use its brand name.
According ALD Automotive, the collaboration is part of its ambitious growth strategy and its drive to build an even stronger presence in the small- and medium-sized business segment.
Carel Bal, general manager at ALD Automotive, said: "In 2015, our fleet grew by 16%, and we have bold ambitions for growth in 2016. With the acquisition of Bright Lease so early in the year, we are taking a major step towards putting our words into action. We will combine Bright Lease’s proven focus on the customer and entrepreneur with our innovative product selection."
