Italy’s Banca Agrileasing is to get €327 million from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to support the country’s small and medium-sized sector, it has just been announced.

Under the terms of the agreement, Banca Agrileasing as well as the banking network of the lessor’s parent Banche di Credito Cooperativo (BCC) will make available the EIB loans through finance leasing operations of up to €12.5 million each.

In the last month, Italy’s leasing companies have already received almost €600 million from the EU’s long-term lending bank. These included €150 million for Sardaleasing, and €100 for Cariparma, part of Crédit Agricole.
