The National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) is to postpone “all upcoming events until later in 2020,” the trade body said citing the government’s ratcheting up of social distancing measures for its decision.

The NACFB – which represents 1,930 brokers, 24% of which have leasing and asset finance as their primary area of business – said both its annual NACFB Commercial Finance Expo (scheduled for 17 June 2020 at Birmingham’s NEC) and the inaugural Commercial Broker Awards (scheduled 23 April at Edgbaston Cricket Ground) have been postponed.

New dates
The NACFB Expo is now to be held 22 September at the NEC, with all existing bookings being transferred across along with existing registrations.

The Commercial Broker Awards will now take place on 6 October at Edgbaston Cricket Ground. Award submissions have now been reviewed by both Patrons and the independent judging panel. The full broker shortlist will be announced in the coming weeks, the NACB said.
