Public transport operator Stagecoach last
month signed a £5.8m (€6.7m) hire purchase agreement for 36 double
decker buses.
The deal was signed with Lloyds TSB and will
see the Enviro 400 buses in use across the UK. Bodied by Alexander
Dennis in Falkirk, 27 are in service in the west of Scotland, three
are in service in Swindon and the remaining six are in Lincoln.
Stagecoach’s rail division also recently
issued contract notices for financial leasing services at a value
of more than £1bn for the supply of rolling stock.
