Russell Kelsall has joined law firm TLT as a financial services regulatory partner from Squire Patton Boggs.

At Squire Patton, Kelsall was a partner in the litigation and financial services practise groups.

His areas of work include consumer credit, products regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), payment services and savings, disputes involving the sale and supply of goods and services and asset recovery and contentious and non-contentious financial services issues.

Emily Benson, head of financial services regulation at TLT said: "Businesses need their legal advisers to keep them up-to-date and compliant with the regulator’s proactive and developing expectations and Russell’s experience builds further our capacity to do that."

In the past, Kelsall has written for Motor Finance about mental capacity and CONC and some of the repercussions of the Plevin v Paragon case, and for Leasing Life on a Court of Appeal decision on pursuing third parties for return of assets.
