Sixt Mobility Consulting expands contract portfolio to over 50,000 contracts

By Athena Chrysanthou

Sixt Mobility Consulting has expanded their contract portfolio to over 50,000 contacts by acquiring Flottenmeister GmbH.

The company is one of the leading independent providers of fleet management in Europe and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sixt Leasing SE.

Flottenmeister is an independent fleet manager based in Pullach near Munich, and is managing over 7000 company cars.

As a result, Sixt Mobility is expanding its market position in Germany and increasing its contract portfolio in Europe, representing growth of more than 15 percent.

Christopher v Tschirschnitz, managing director of Sixt Mobility Consulting GmbH said: “With the acquisition of Flottenmeister, we are successfully continuing our growth course within Europe. Thereby, we are pleased to be able tow elcome a number of new customers who will continue to be supported seamlessly under the umbrella of Sixt Mobility Consulting.

He added: “In addition, we want to excite them with our fully digitalised service portfolio and thereby take the cooperation with customers and their vehicle users to a new level of quality and efficiency.”

Michael Ruhl, chief executive of Sixt Leasing SE said: “The acquisition for Flottenmeister is a further step in the consistent implementation of our drive 2021 strategy programme and a reasonable building block for achieving our growth targets.

He added: “The geographical proximity and overlapping services will help us integrate Flottenmeister GmbH into the Sixt Leasing Group. In addition to volume growth, we also expect positive synergy effects from the takeover.”

V Tschirschnitz joined Sixt Leasing SE a year ago from the BMW Group where he was regional chief executive officer for central and southeastern Europe.

Before his appointment in 2018, Sixt launched a unified corporate package bundling leasing, rental, fleet management and mobility.

At the time Sixt said it was “aligning its sales structure to its corporate clients’ changing mobility needs.”
