Since 2011, QV Systems has been rolling out its Accelerate platform: a cloud-based system that digitises lending and leasing processes for automotive and asset finance companies.

Ikonomides brings over two decades’ technical and financial experience to her new role. She joins QV Systems after eight years as managing director of Banking Works, the specialist business and technology consultancy that helps new lenders grow. During her time at Banking Works she was closely involved in designing, building and managing major technology projects.

Ikonomides began her career in leasing under a UK Japanese bank, supporting the sale of the lease portfolio to a consortium of investors. In 1999 she co-founded Virtual Lease Services to manage this portfolio, where she helped build the business before selling it in 2007. From here, she set up a North West office to focus on distressed portfolios and building out audit and consultancy services. In 2011, the business was bought via a joint venture, with Ikonomides remaining as MD from 2013 until her departure in 2021.

“The financing and leasing industry is experiencing its digital transformation moment, with enterprises moving to centralised, digital platforms as many other industries have done so successfully,” said Ikonomides.
