ING LEASE

Alain Vervaet will retire as CEO of ING Lease Holding on 1
April, after eight years at ING Lease and 34 years in the industry.
He will remain involved at ING Lease as a member of the company’s
supervisory board, and will keep his role as a board member at
Leaseurope.

Last November, Vervaet was awarded the Leasing Life Lifetime
Achievement Award for his important contribution to the
industry.

Replacing Vervaet as CEO of ING Lease Holding is John Howland
Jackson, currently UK CEO for Wholesale Banking at ING. Jackson was
previously CEO for Wholesale Banking in Asia, and also held
positions at NatWest Markets, Nomura, JPMorgan and Kleinwort
Benson.

In turn, Jackson will be replaced by Gerlach Jacobs, who is
currently co-head of ING General
Lease and a member of the board at ING Lease Holding. Jacobs’ role
is not being replaced, but his responsibilities will be assumed
temporarily by Krzysztof Bielecki, co-head of ING General
Lease.

Malcolm Ogle has been appointed as EMEA chairman at The Alta
Group, a leasing consultancy. He replaces Derek Soper who stepped
down to become an associate of the company. Ogle has been in the
leasing and asset finance industry for more than 30 years and was
formerly a managing director at Lombard Corporate Finance.

MAN FINANCIAL SERVICES

Elliot Lennick, CEO at MAN Financial Services in the UK, is to
oversee MAN’s Region East in addition to his current Region North
responsibilities.

The move will see Lennick take charge of Man FS in the Czech
Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Romania in addition to his current
role in Scandinavia, Ireland and the UK.

As a result of Lennick’s additional commitments, Andrew Laming
has been promoted to chief financial officer for Region North. A
CFO for Region East will also be appointed, and will be supported
by Piotr Borowski and Frank Liska, the new country managers in
Poland and the Czech Republic respectively.

Jens Mac Larsen has become general manager for Scandinavia and
Peter Collins has become responsible for sales in the UK and
Ireland.

CISCO SYSTEMS CAPITAL

Kasper Skrivner has moved to Cisco Systems Capital in Denmark as
a Sales Manager. He was previously with GE Capital Solutions in the
same role.

BRS

Olivier Touze has been appointed as managing director at
Warwick-based BRS Ltd, a truck rental, contract hire and fleet
management services company owned by the Volvo Group.
He replaces Enrico Odorico, who has left the company after two
years. Touze was previously at Renault Trucks in Lyon, where he was
responsible for its European rental operations, Clovis Rent.

BVRLA

The British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA) has
promoted John Lewis to the position of chief executive, a newly
created position. Lewis joined the BVRLA eight years ago as its
sixth director general.

FRAIKIN

Fraikin has appointed Alistair Wood as procurement and services
director. Wood will manage the company’s annual expenditure of more
than £40 million on new commercial vehicles. He replaces George
Noble, who has retired from the company.

INTERBANCA

The board of directors of Interbanca has appointed Paolo
Braghieri as CEO of the bank, which provides financial solutions to
the SME market in Italy and was recently acquired by GE
Capital.

KBC LEASE-GROUP

Roland Vanlangendijck has been appointed as managing director of
KBC Bail France, the French arm of KBC Lease-Group.

LEASEUROPE

Mark Venus, global head of accounts payable at BNP Paribas, has
been appointed co-chair of Leaseurope’s accounting and taxation
committee.

He will be responsible for the committee’s work in accounting
affairs, succeeding Thomas Schröer, of KGAL, who held the position
for eight years. Venus is also a member of the Joint IASB/FASB
Leases Working Group.

JCB FINANCE

JCB Finance has appointed a new managing director in France,
Patrick Verstraeten.

NACFB

The National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers has
appointed Philip Hellawell as its chairman for the 2009-10
financial year. Hellawell, from Yorkshire-based Connect Business
Finance, has been finance director of the association for the past
three years and was deputy chairman during 2008.

SOCIÉTÉ GÉNÉRALE EQUIPMENT FINANCE

Cécile André has been appointed deputy head of SG Equipment
Finance, replacing Pascal Bouillon, who has been named CEO of SG
Equipment Finance USA. André was previously managing director in
the strategic and acquisition finance group of Société Générale
Corporate and Investment Banking, in charge of financial
institutions.

ST HELEN’S FINANCE

St Helen’s Finance has announced that Braden Harris has joined
the board as non-executive director. Harris has more than 20 years
of experience in the leasing and asset finance industry and is also
a director at Cleaves, which is active in arranging investment and
leasing projects in the maritime sector. Tony Drury resigned as
non-executive director of the company at the end of 2008.

UNICREDIT LEASING

Andreas Obrist has been appointed managing director of UniCredit
Leasing Romania, replacing Septimiu Postelnicu, who was promoted to
vice-president for global business services last month. Obrist was
previously chief risk officer at the company.

DENTON WILDE SAPTE

Asset finance specialist Paul Jarvis has joined law firm Denton
Wilde Sapte. From 5 January 2009 he will be based in the firm’s Abu
Dhabi office, from where he will advise on shipping and aviation
finance transactions and increase the partnership’s Islamic finance
capabilities.

VOLVO FINANCIAL SERVICES

The French arm of VFS has appointed a new deputy managing
director, Agnès Gervois.

HYPO ALPE-ADRIA-LEASING

Alexander Schmidecker, who recently stepped down as managing
director of the Austrian and Central and Eastern European regions
of UniCredit Global Leasing, has re-emerged at the helm of the
leasing arm of rival player Hypo Alpe-Adria.

Last month, the 42-year-old was appointed executive board
chairman of Hypo Alpe-Adria-Leasing Holding, the holding company
governing Austrian Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank’s 12 international leasing
subsidiaries.

Schmidecker, who at Hypo has been tasked with integrating the
company’s Balkan and Ukrainian businesses, was formerly managing
director of Bank Austria Creditanstalt Leasing prior to his
promotion at UniCredit Leasing.

SHIRE LEASING

Shire Leasing has promoted Carlos Rodriguez to sales manager to
continue developing the leasing business in the security market.
The company has been arranging leasing for CCTV and other security
equipment for more than 18 years.

John Flounders, sales director, said: “This promotion is an
exciting opportunity for Carlos and one in which we all wish him
well.”
