Smartfundit.com, has moved to Syscap, where she is now business
services consultant.

STATE
SECURITIES

Andrew Bullard,
the well-liked figure who for some time has been the face of State
Securities, has stepped down from his position of sales director at
the subprime specialist asset finance lender after 12 years.

This follows the departure of
its former director, Simon Mills, in
March after more than two decades at State Securities, part of the
Rothschild-owned Five Arrows Leasing Group. Since Mill’s departure
State has been run by Jeremy
Guilfoyle
, State’s legal director, James Sampson
and John
Luff
of Five Arrows. Barry
Hutchings
, who was appointed sales and marketing
director of State on July 20, has stepped into Bullard’s previous
role. It is believed that Bullard is looking for a new job within
the UK leasing sector.

Independent commercial finance
house Bibby Financial Services has appointed Paul Sutcliffe
as its new business development manager for the north of England
region. Sutcliffe will report to product manager Paul Tappin, and
will be based across the company’s offices in Manchester, Bradford
and Liverpool. Sutcliffe’s main work will be developing Bibby’s
international trade finance offering in the region. In addition,
Bibby has appointed Mark Story as
managing director in the same region.

GE CAPITAL

Former UK operations director
for GE Capital Fleet Services, Stephen Bird
has been appointed as chief executive officer in charge of Northern
Asia at Citigroup.

CRS

Alison Campbell
has moved from Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank (A&L)
to join Manchester-based finance recruitment consultancy CRS, where
she takes the role of asset finance consultant. Having worked with
A&L for 18 years, most recently as business development manager
for the bank’s public sector leasing business, her appointment will
bolster CRS’ presence in the asset finance sector.

GREENROAD

Fleet consultancy GreenRoad has
hired Lee
Williamson
and John Dimmer to
its UK executive team, where they will work on large customer
accounts. Williamson is an expert in transport and logistics, and
spent 23 years in the British Army advising on transport strategy,
while Dimmer, who will take on the role of senior projects
director, previously worked for public sector consultancy Civica
Group.

PROHIRE

Commercial vehicle contract
hire specialist Prohire has hired David Gillott
as business development director. The independent firm specialises
in bespoke truck contract hire and fleet management, with a
customer base comprising large UK corporates.

OPTARE DIRECT

Rick Betton has
moved from bus finance group Mistral to the new finance arm of
Optare Plc, Optare Direct, where he will take the role of Director
of Independent Sales. Betton will report to commercial director
Glenn Saint, and will bring with him 30 years of experience in the
bus and coach industry. Betton’s former roles include positions at
Reeve Burgess and Plaxton, a period as general manager of Evobus,
and time spent with Transbus, Optare itself, and latterly
Mistral.


Italy

BANCA ITALEASE

Mauro Bolzoni,
head of market division at Banca Italease, has retired from the
Italian bank-owned lessor. He has been replaced by Franco Damiani
on an interim basis. Damiani is also currently head of the group’s
operations division.

BANCA
AGRILEASING

Italy’s Banca Agrileasing has
appointed Enrico
Duranti
as its new director general. Duranti
replaces Lamberto Cioci who has been at the helm of the company for
over 11 years. Previously, Duranti worked within the corporate
finance department of Bank of America and of Sofipa-Gruppo
Mediocredito Centrale. He joined Agrileasing’s parent, Banche di
Credito Cooperativo, in 2001, as managing director.

INVIGORS

Alessandro
Iacono
has joined lease consultancy Invigors, where
he is tasked to set up the firm’s Italian operations. Iacono has
recently worked at GE Healthcare Financial Services, where he was
southern Europe sales manager, and HP Financial Services, where he
was chairman and executive director of HPFS’ Italian
operations.

BUDAPEST LIZING

Budapest Bank, a unit of GE
Money Bank, has appointed Endre Eolyus as
head of its leasing unit Budapest Lízing. Eolyus previously headed
corporate fleet company Budapest Flotta, earlier called Budapest
Autópark-kezelõ.


Austria

WHITE CLARKE

Austrian leasing consultant
Harald
Haider
has joined software specialist White Clarke
Europe to launch its new Austrian operational base in Vienna.
Haider has over 30 years’ experience in the Austrian leasing
market, and will provide initial support and consulting services to
White Clarke’s Austrian client base.


Germany

VR LEASING

Hans-Theo Macke
has been appointed as new supervisory board chairman for German
lessor VR Leasing this month. Macke, 60, replaces Thomas Duhnkrack,
who has left the supervisory board of the DZ Bank subsidiary.

Jan van Beek
has been appointed as managing director of Truckland Lease, the new
joint venture between De Lage Landen and Dutch CV dealer
