On the move

Volvo Financial Services...UniCredit Global Leasing...Netapp Financial Services...

By Verdict Staff

Nick Levey, Volvo FS’s divisional director for the company’s construction area, stepped down at the end of December.

Previously he was a divisional director for the company’s bus and coach businesses, and then was appointed as director of business development, a position which he started in 2004. The Warwick-based subsidiary of the Volvo Group said that nobody would replace him for the moment. His departure is believed to be linked to a downturn in the construction sector in 2008. At least four others are understood to be leaving, all of them being regional sales managers. A company spokesperson declined to comment on the matter.

Septimiu Postelnicu has been appointed as vice-president for global business services, at UniCredit Global Leasing. He will be responsible for coordinating the organisation, logistics and IT of the 17 leasing companies within the UniCredit group. Postelnicu, aged 31, was previously the CEO of UniCredit Leasing Romania.

Kevin Green has joined NetApp Financial Solutions to head channel sales. He was previously director of direct sales at Grenke Leasing.

Neil Mounch has joined Xerox Financial Services as a middle ticket analyst. He was previously a senior credit analyst within CIT Group (UK).

Leaseurope, the trade body representing the leasing and automotive rental industry at European level, has elected its new board for a two-year mandate, with Rüdiger von Fölkersamb of Germany as its new chair. Jukka Salonen (Finland) and Stephane Soille (Belgium) have been elected vice-chairs.

Olivier Toussaint has been named managing director at Eurofactor, Crédit Agricole’s factoring business. He will keep his responsibilities at Crédit Agricole Leasing, where he has been the general manager since 2005.

Artegy, the commercial vehicle contract hire company owned by the BNP Paribas Group, has appointed Andy Wainwright as new head of sales. The appointment is a promotion for Wainwright, who has been working for over 16 years in several roles with the Manchester-based company, including positions in account management and sales.

Bruce Nelson has stepped down as regional director of the UK and Ireland for Key Equipment Finance. Nelson, whose move is believed to be linked to a Europe-wide restructuring of the business, worked as divisional managing director of Hitachi Capital Business Finance before joining KEF in February 2006 as managing director of industrial equipment finance.

Following a restructure, Richard Laxer has been appointed as regional head of GE Capital Europe, which includes the GE Capital Solutions, GE Commercial Financial Services and GE Healthcare Financial Services business lines. He will be announcing his management team later this month.

Bibby Financial Services has boosted its team by adding three key members. Greg Taylor, who previously worked for Bank of Scotland Cashflow Finance as associate director, has been appointed business development manager. The Liverpool-based company has also appointed two regional managers, Glenn Colyer, responsible for East Anglia, and Alan Adams, who is responsible for Leicester.
