He now works alongside Massimiliano Moi, the company’s CEO.

Meanwhile, the business formerly known as Locat – the Italian
arm of UniCredit Leasing – has been given a new central role within
the organisation.

It now effectively co-ordinates the entire leasing business line
of the UniCredit Group across all of its European operations.

Also, to reflect Locat’s new status, Luca Lorenzi, the CEO of
Locat, which last month was rebranded as UniCredit Leasing, has
been appointed general manager of the whole UniCredit Leasing
business.

Rosario Corso, the former chairman of Locat, has been promoted
to the position of ‘vicario’ deputy chairman, a role which sits
between the company’s president and the deputy chairman. Luigi
Marino, who reports to Corso, is deputy chairman.

Elvio Campagnola has been appointed deputy general manager of
Locat – which has been in existence for around 40 years – and will
be in charge of operations for Italy and Poland.

In a move aimed at simplifying governance, growing cross-border
leasing and improving information flows, UniCredit Leasing has
created so-called ‘hubs’. Each has its own management and is
comprised of the businesses of several countries.

Alongside the creation of the hubs, UniCredit Leasing is now
based in a network structure that aims to improve co-ordination
across all its European businesses.

The lessor also now has a so-called ‘strategy area’, which aims
to bring together the company’s European strategy and network goal;
a ‘business area’, which supervise the execution of business at a
European level; and an ‘operation area’, which will be responsible
for the “proper functioning of the machine”.

UniCredit Leasing operates in 17 countries, including Italy,
Germany, Austria and most Central European countries.
