Leaseurope has named Nordea Finance CEO Jukka
Salonen as its new chairman, and has announced its new board
members for the next two years.

Schmidecker, BAWAG PSK Leasing chief executive; Martin Starck, LBBW
Leasing chairman; and Alain Vervaet, ING Lease Holding board
The new board held its first meeting on 9
December. Outgoing chair Rüdiger von Fölkersamb was recognised for
his part in establishing Leaseurope’s headquarters in Brussels,
known as the European House of Leasing.
Salonen reiterated Leaseurope’s ambition to
“develop research activities further and to strengthen its position
as the unique platform for the whole European leasing
Salonen, from Finland, was appointed vice
chair of Leaseurope in 2008, after two years as a board member. He
was on the board of the Federation of Finnish Finance Houses from
1999 to 2006.
