NACFB unveils SME rebrand at AGM

The National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) used its AGM to announce a rebrand designed to highlight the bodys role in sourcing funding for UK SMEs. Adam Tyler, chief executive of the NACFB, said the main aim of the rebranding was to underline the associations role in putting brokers and SMEs in contact to secure funding.

The National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) used its AGM to announce a rebrand designed to highlight the body’s role in sourcing funding for UK SMEs.

The trade body will now use a single, simplified logo which will carry the strap line “Helping Fund UK Business”.

Adam Tyler, chief executive of the NACFB, said the main aim of the rebranding was to underline the association’s role in putting brokers and SMEs in contact to secure funding.

Tyler also announced the association’s plans for the coming year including an asset fraud training programme and a Government backed training programme for 16 – 19 year olds to raise awareness of commercial finance and a number of initiatives aiming to produce thousands of leads for NACFB members throughout 2012, and continued political lobbying.

The AGM, which was attended by over 40 exhibitors and more than 250 delegates, was followed by a networking lunch and the NACFB’s 19th Gala Dinner Awards Ceremony, held at the Birmingham Metropole.

At the evening’s Awards Ceremony, guests raised over £6,000 for the charity was Breast Cancer Care.

The winners for 2011 were:

Commercial Mortgage Provider of the Year: Lloyds (nominations: Aldermore, Barclays, Bank of Cyprus, Lloyds TSB, Norwich & Peterborough BS and Santander)

Lessor of the Year: ING Lease (UK)(nominations: Aldermore, Arkle, BNP Paribas, Close Asset Finance, ING Lease (UK) and Investec)

Factor Invoice Discounter of the Year: Bibby Financial Services (nominations: Aldermore, Bibby Financial Services, Close Invoice Finance, Hitachi Invoice Finance, Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance and Ultimate Invoice Finance)

Buy to Let Mortgage Provider of the Year: The Mortgage Works (nominations: Aldermore, BM Solutions, Coventry BS, Lloyds TSB, Paragon and the Mortgage Works)

Short Term Funder of the Year: Dragonfly(nominations: Affirmative Finance, Bridgebank, Dragonfly, Masthaven Bridging Finance Ltd, Tiuta Plc and WestOne)

Vehicle Finance Provider of the Year: ING Lease (UK) (nominations: Aldermore, Arval, Close Motor Finance, ING Lease (UK), Northridge and Santander)

Specialist Lender of the Year: Aldermore (nominations: Aldermore, Close Brothers, Funding Circle, Hampshire Trust, Regentsmead and United Trust Bank)

Business Bank of the Year:Barclays (nominations: Barclays Bank, Handelsbanken, Lloyds TSB, NatWest, Sanander and The Co-operative)

Most Supportive Lender of the Year: Santander (nominations: Aldermore, Barclays, Close Brothers, ING Lease (UK) Ltd, Lloyds and Santander)

Outstanding Contribution to the Broker Industry: Andrew Turzynski
