Lombard Asset Finance has provided Advanced Satellite Solutions with £51,720 to fund the development of a 1.5-acre site at Alexandra Docks, in Newport, Wales, after outgrowing its temporary shared offices on the east side of the port.
Founded in 1998, Advanced Satellite Solutions became limited in 2005 and today provides the installation and repair of fibre optic and network, cabling, satellite TV solutions, CCTV and digital signage. The business has secured ongoing projects throughout Europe and the Middle East since 2010.
Nolan Orford, founder and managing director, said: “I set up the business from scratch and as it has grown our reputation for providing excellent service has spread beyond Newport, giving us the opportunity to work with businesses globally.”
“Thanks to the funding from Lombard, we have been able to create an ideal office space that can house our growing team as they provide our specialist communication solutions to clients worldwide,” he added.
Kerrie Jones, Lombard senior relationship manager, said: “Over the 10 years I have worked with Nolan, Advanced Satellite Solutions has grown its client base. With the funding we have provided, the company has been able to relocate to accommodate current and further growth, and we will continue to support the business as it expands in the future.”
Lombard, formerly Lombard Corporate Finance, was acquired by Royal Bank of Scotland in 2000, two of RBS’s subsidiaries, RoyScot Trust and Royal Bank Leasing, were merged with Lombard to create a new asset finance entity, according to Lombard’s website.
