The vehicles were all supplied through local
Citroën dealership Warners of Cheltenham, through which Hewer had
hired its previous fleet of Dispatch vans. Hewer had also had a
previous relationship with Lex, as well as leasing through Lloyds
TSB and Vauxhall Leasing.
According to Hewer’s contract manager Robert
Willmott, the Berlingos were selected after trials evaluating fuel
consumption, running costs and lower emissions, and have already
returned a 25 percent fuel efficiency increase on the previous
fleet.
