Asset finance advisory service IAA-Advisory has appointed Lindsay Town to the post of director.

Bringing over 35 years of experience in asset finance to the role, Town has worked in various sectors ranging from high-value cross-border transactions to point-of-sale (POS) consumer finance business.

His career spans organisations including Barclays, Lloyds TSB and PwC, and stints in both the UK and the USA.

Town previously occupied the role of managing director of corporate for Bank of Scotland (HBOS), where he oversaw 2,250 members of staff and a wide portfolio of asset finance and leasing business totalling £18bn of funded assets at its peak.

Following an early retirement from Lloyds/HBOS, Town held the position of director of the Finance and Leasing Association (FLA), as well as being a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland.

Derek Soper, chairman of IAA-Advisory, praised Town as "a wonderful addition" to the company.
