Hitachi Capital’s European Vendor Solutions division has appointed Gideon Stanley as senior business development manager.

Before joining Hitachi Capital European Vendor Solutions Stanley’s most recent role involved setting up and managing customer finance solutions across Europe and Asia for Precor – a global fitness equipment brand owned by Amer Sports Corporation.

His role at Hitachi will be based out of their Staines office and will focus on developing European vendor relationships within the wider Hitachi Capital Group.

Established in 2013 the European Vendor Solutions Division has grown from three people to more than 20 people transacting £287m in 20 European countries since 2018/19.

Dilek Mackenzie, managing director, Hitachi Capital European Vendor Solutions, said: “Our European Vendor Solutions division has grown substantially since its inception seven years ago and is leading the expansion of Hitachi Capital (UK) PLC internationally. Following on from the creation of a subsidiary in the Netherlands and opening of a branch in the Republic of Ireland last year, we continue to evolve as a business, increasing our cross border lending capabilities.”

“I am hugely excited to welcome Gideon to the team. His understanding of vendor needs, coupled with previous significant business development experience, will be extremely valuable as we look to develop European vendor relationships within the Hitachi Capital Group,” she concluded.
