UK asset finance firm Haydock Finance has appointed two to its board of directors.

Steve Worrall re-joins the company as managing director, having left in 2009 to join heating and engineering firm TA Hydronics where he was finance director.

He will take responsibility for growing the company’s asset finance business line allowing Jon Wilkinson, Haydock’s founder and executive chairman, to focus on developing the company’s relationships with funders and brokers.

Haydock has also appointed Ian Barr as credit and risk director. He joins from National Australia Group where he was head of Asset Finance UK and previously held credit and risk roles with British Linen Bank and EFT Finance.

Wilkinson said the appointments would provide a base for the company, which posted more than £2m (€2.4m) in profits for 2013, to continue to grow and said Haydock was currently negotiating a "substantial" revolving credit facility and a joint venture which would "provide a further channel to expand in what is a very competitive market."

The appointments were announced after Bibby Financial Services recruited five personnel from Haydock at the start of the year.
