The National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) annual survey shows leasing is an economic "good news story", according to chief executive Adam Tyler.

The data, provided by NACFB broker members for the year to June 2013, shows an "upswing" in business, with 60% more deals in non-vehicle asset finance, outstripping commercial mortgage figures for the first time.

Vehicle finance deals were up 79%, and values were up too, in what Tyler termed "one of the biggest growth stories in the survey".

In an article for the next issue of Leasing Life, Tyler said the survey results were "generally positive", although a lot of hard work remains to be done "before we can approach pre-2008 figures."
