GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) has appointed Jonty Nel as executive vice-president of its commercial international division from April 2020.
Nel will be responsible for building and executing GECAS’ commercial strategies across several regions, platforms and teams including the Asia-Pacific, Europe & Canada, and Latin American and Caribbean regions.

Among his other roles, he will be responsible for GECAS’ cargo business and its airline and fleet strategy team. Nel will operate out of the Dubai office and will join the GECAS leadership team.
Nel has more than 20 years’ experience in aviation finance. He first joined GE in 1999 to lead GE Capital’s corporate aircraft leasing and financing efforts in Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia.
As a former member of the GECAS team for over 10 years, he held various commercial and leadership aviation roles.
