European fleet management company Fleet
Logistics has appointed Steve Hackett as senior account manager
within its UK account management team.

Hackett, 47, has been in the fleet
industry since he was just 17, and most recently worked at
Leasedrive Velo as account manager at the Bracknell-based
business.

At Fleet Logistics, Hackett is to be
responsible for working with large UK fleet customers, typically
with European or international operations.

Hackett said: “This new role feels like a
natural development for me. Increasingly, large blue chip fleet
operators want assurance that they are being offered the best price
available by their leasing suppliers. But with a single supply
situation that is unlikely to be the case.”

At Fleet Logistics, he added, his role will be
to manage the company’s multi-bidding solution, as well as helping
to maintain levels of service.

Hackett will be field-based and will report to
Vinzenz Pflanz, director of account and supply chain
management.

Fleet Logistics CEO Peter Soliman said:
“Pan-European fleet operators are looking for increased
transparency in their dealings with their suppliers across all
costs centres in general, but across fleet in particular.

“Our role is to help provide that
transparency, backed up by first rate, top level customer service
and, in his new role, Steve will help us to deliver on that
objective.”
