Industrial plant, construction equipment, and agricultural machinery auctioneers Euro Auctions will launch a permanent site in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Euro Auctions has chosen a plot in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), a free economic area in the west of Dubai, on which to build its auction complex. The company said it has secured services and logistics licenses for the venture, and will trade under the Euro Auctions brand.

Jonnie Keys, commercial manager of Euro Auctions, said: “We have many good relationships with buyers and sellers in the Middle East and Africa, and this new auction location will enable us to create stronger relationships with our customers in this region and open the door to many new buyers and sellers.”

Euro Auction said the Dubai auction site’s maiden sale will take place on 13 September 2017, and would subsequently host four sales per year.

Euro Auctions added to its international operations in December last year with its acquisition of the American heavy machinery auctioneer Yoder & Frey.

The purchase of the auction house added three Yoder & Frey sites to Euro Auction’s American locations, in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida, in addition to its existing sales site in Atlanta, which was re-branded to match.
