UK e-commerce company epyx has added a new tool to
its 1link fleet disposal network that suggests the best motor
auction for fleet managers to dispose of their cars and vans.

The West Midlands-based company’s newly
launched Auction Allocation tool recommends a website from the
independent motor auctions registered with the platform. The
recommendation is based on criteria chosen by the user, such as
recent sales performance and geographical constraints.

Auction Allocation will also include features
such as a management tool for all correspondence with auctions,
view details about forthcoming sales, examine results of past sales
and resign vehicles to a future sale if they do not get sold.

Transactions through 1link Disposal Network
have doubled in the first six months of the year, said Ken Trinder,
head of business development.

He said: “This is our fastest growing
platform. Fleets are rapidly waking up to the advantages of selling
through an online tool – whether that means online sales or
managing a physical auction sale – while dealers are learning that
acquiring stock online is a faster, cheaper and generally more
efficient way to do business.”
