UK-based specialist bank DF Capital has launched a structured finance entity to enhance cash flow and funding access for businesses.

This new initiative will be supported by a dedicated team and offer tailored solutions to meet working capital needs and finance opportunities such as mergers, acquisitions, business restructures, and asset purchases.

The structured finance division will provide wholesale finance, stock flow finance, invoice finance, and secured short-term business loans to complement DF Capital’s existing inventory finance range.

According to the company, DF Capital’s structured finance team has already assisted existing and new customers in securing funding for additional stock purchases, business asset acquisitions, and working capital improvements.

Besides direct engagement with end users, DF Capital collaborates with a network of professional advisers to connect with new customers.

The Manchester-based structured finance team is led by managing director Sarah Barker, who joined DF Capital in 2018 and previously served as head of portfolio monitoring and specialist management.

Barker said: “Complementing our core inventory finance offering, structured finance reflects our focus on finding new and innovative ways to support businesses and we are committed to working with our customers to quickly and efficiently support them in unlocking new funding opportunities to achieve their ambitions.

“We now have a dedicated team in place to deliver this offering and, given our early successes to date, we look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship with existing customers as well as helping new customers to achieve their goals.”

In a separate development, DF Capital recently received authorisation from the Financial Conduct Authority to enter the consumer asset finance market.

Following an application last year, its subsidiary DF Capital Retail Finance Limited is now authorised to provide consumer lending.

This authorisation marked an expansion beyond DF Capital’s core wholesale finance offering, enabling the group to support end customers at the point of purchase through its existing dealer network.
