The Polish subsidiary of French bank Credit Agricole Leasing & Factoring, EFL SA, has entered into a partnership with the DBK Group.

Under the terms of the agreement, Europejski Fundusz Leasingowy SA (EFL SA) is to acquire 70% of shares of HAMA Polska, of the DBK Group, according to Credit Agricole Leasing & Factoring.

German-based DBK Group is a supplier of products and services in the transport, shipping and logistics sector in Poland.

Credit Agricole is the tenth-largest European bank by market cap, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence.

HAMA Polska offers commercial vehicle rental services for the transport trades. EFL is involved in furniture leasing in Poland and is looking to expand into heavy vehicle leasing, according to Credit Agricole.

EFL started in 1991 as one of the first leasing companies in Poland and provides leasing, loans, long-term rentals, factoring and additional products, according to EFL Grupa Credit Agricole.

Radoslaw Wozniack, chairman of the EFL management committee, said in a statement: “For EFL, the truck market is one of the strategic segments. We fully understand this market and its needs. We have been trying to expand our truck rental offer for some time now. Thanks to the acquisition of a stake in HAMA Polska, the EFL Group will develop its offer and offer to hire trucks weighing more than 3.5 tonnes, as well as semi-trailers and trailers.

“Initially, the vehicles will be those of partners with whom we are already collaborating in terms of financing, namely DAF, Man, Iveco, as well as the trailer manufacturers Koegel and Kassbohrer,” he added.
