Copernicus scoops major Davenham
deal

kDavenham Asset Finance (DAF) has gone live in the UK with
Copernicus’ Solar and Solar Quote lease systems.

The news comes as Davenham Group, a specialist SME lender, has
completed an extensive re-branding exercise. The rebranding,
according to Ed Jones, marketing manager, is aimed at “reinforcing
our views that we do not think or behave like a bank”.

Copernicus has also recently formed Copernicus-USA, a wholly
owned subsidiary, which was previously run as a joint venture. Ian
Charik, Copernicus’ sales and marketing director, said the company
is based in Naples, Florida, and is targeting the small and
mediumsized ticket leasing and loan markets in the US. The company
also runs a hosting services centre in Colorado.

Charik expects significant commercial gains in the US in coming
months, especially since he believes that “all existing products in
the US are looking rather tired”.
