Catalyst Fiscal has entered a partnership with MAC Capital Corporate Finance, giving birth to MAC Capital Finance and bringing its asset finance expertise to the new London-based venture.
Asset finance had remained an unexplored area within MAC Capital’s portfolio, which will in turn provide Catalyst with a wide client base for its asset finance products, according to the companies.

Catalyst is confident the move will enable it to significantly increase its business levels among MAC’s clients, which hail from a range of industries including engineering, IT, aircraft, high net worth individuals, accountancy and law firms.
According to a joint statement by the companies, the "jewel in the crown" of the venture is MAC Capital’s ownership of Fruehauf Trailers, a UK tipping trailer manufacturer which MAC Capital Finance plans to support in the creation of Fruehauf Capital.
Barry Nicholson, director of MAC Capital Finance, said he was pleased with the outcome: "I am delighted that after months of negotiation we are now in a position to drive the business forward in conjunction with our loyal and supportive funding partners."
