Invoice financier Bibby Financial Services (BFS) has announced the appointment of Ian Lomas, former Lloyds commercial finance client and collateral management director, to head of the business’s niche products section.
As niche products director from 1 June, Lomas will report directly to BFS UK’s chief executive, David Postings.

Drawing on 22 years of experience in the invoice finance market, Lomas will be responsible for the company’s lease finance, trade, international and construction products, as part of the company’s bid to compete against banks in lending to businesses.
Postings described the appointment as a component of a wider "significant expansion strategy", and said: "I’m delighted to welcome him to BFS where I’m sure he will have an immediate impact."
He added: "This is a key appointment and having someone of Ian’s calibre will undoubtedly help us to take our business to the next level and further enhance the vital support we provide to businesses in the UK."
BFS provides over £388m to businesses in the UK and manages annual client turnover worth £4.9bn.
