Arval has forged a deal with Autorola to run weekly auctions of used vehicles on its online remarketing portal, as part of its disposal strategy.

The fleet lessor will offer former fleet vehicles of the two to four year age range for sale each week, to begin on Mondays at 3pm. Each auction will run for two days, and be targeted to Autorola’s 2,000 active buyers.

Arval will provide full specifications for the vehicles, such as descriptions of damage and service history. Autorola’s customer service team will be available for buyers’ enquiries.

Christope Hamon, Arval UK’s remarketing manager, said: “We successfully work with Autorola in a number of different European countries and following an extensive pilot in the UK we are achieving some strong results.”

Arval’s financed fleet grew by 7.3% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2017, and in December 2016, 8.4% growth pushed its total fleet to over 1 million vehicles leased.

Jon Mitchell, Autorola’s UK group sales director, said: “Arval has embraced online selling across Europe and we are pleased to be working with them in the UK. They are successfully selling a mix of ex-fleet stock through our online channel.”
