Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions has been named the sole leasing partner of Amey, an infrastructure and utility support service provider.

The agreement, which lasts from 4 July this year until summer 2022, will see Hitachi Capital provide Amey with funding and vehicle management for its business-critical fleet of more than 8,500 vehicles and special assets, for its 21,000-strong workforce.

Jon Lawes, managing director, Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions, said: “We are delighted to continue working with Amey. Over the last 6 years, we have built a close relationship. Being entrusted with the management of their entire fleet, including vehicles critical to maintaining parts of the nation’s infrastructure, is a great responsibility,”

“Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions offers…the knowledge and expertise to help transform Amey’s fleet and operations over the next 6 years.”

Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions has embedded employees within Amey’s operations to act as a team of consultants, and believe their asset management experience make them a key partner.

Tom Lawless, fleet and plant director, Amey, said: “Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions is uniquely placed as one of the only leasing companies to offer full support for our mix of operations,”
