Aldermore has hired four senior staff to its asset finance business in a variety of roles, as the firm continues to expand its coverage of the UK SME market.

The recruits are the latest in series of hires in recent months which has seen additions to the company’s senior management.

Lee Rhodes joined recent addition Carey Hansford, who joined earlier this month, to lead the Structured Finance Department and Block Discounting activities of Aldermore. Previously, Rhodes was a member of Investec’s asset finance business covering mid-ticket deals. He had joined Investec in the first quarter of 2013 from ING Lease after that company’s UK operations went into run-off.

Kevin Tonge has joined Aldermore after a brief stint at Hitachi Capital where he had been compliance and business support manager since May last year. In his new role he will work in technical commercial support. Tonge was also previously with ING Lease until its closure in the UK.

Sean Jones has joined the UK bank as head of broker sales from Hitachi Capital, where he was a sales manager. Like Rhodes and Tonge he was also previously at ING Lease before Hitachi.

The final appointment in this latest wave was Tim Biddle, who has assumed the role of business development manager. He joined Aldermore from Siemens Financial Services.
