Aldermore Bank has appointed Petrina Oliver as head of enterprise risk to be based in its London office.

Oliver has over 20 years’ experience in banking, and joined Aldermore from Royal Bank of Scotland, where she served as head of prudential regulation and frameworks, risk analytics, and models.

Prior to this, Oliver worked at Clydesdale Bank and National Australia Bank, holding positions in both the UK and Australia.

Oliver said: “I’m looking forward to continuing to build out the bank’s enterprise risk framework to provide the support that SMEs, landlords, homeowners and savers need to succeed and achieve their ambitions.”

As head of enterprise risk, Oliver will report to Christine Palmer, group risk director, and join the group risk senior leadership team.

Palmer said: “I am delighted that Petrina is joining Aldermore. She is highly respected within the industry and the experience that she brings will help us to continue to manage the bank’s risk appetite in a prudent and transparent way, while giving us the flexibility to react quickly to the financial needs of our growing customer base.”
