Organisers have hailed the AFPA Trust’s International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025 Lunch as a great success, bringing together finance professionals to celebrate women’s achievements while raising £5,000 for the Fawcett Society.

Held on 6 March 2025 at London’s Royal Overseas League, the event featured a three-course meal crafted by MasterChef winner Irini Tzortzoglou and keynote speeches from Charlotte Broadbent, former fashion editor of Hello Magazine and Estee Lauder director, and Denise Nurse, a lawyer, entrepreneur, and media expert. Attendees from across the finance sector, including lenders, brokers, and vendors, gathered for an afternoon of networking and inspiration.

Robert Taylor, Chairman of AFPA Trust, reflected on the event’s impact: “We are delighted with the success of our inaugural International Women’s Day Lunch. It was a fantastic occasion to celebrate the achievements of women in finance and to raise vital funds for the Fawcett Society. The generosity of our attendees and sponsors is greatly appreciated, and we are proud to support the Fawcett Society’s important work in advancing equality.”

An Interim Chief Executive of the Fawcett Society expressed gratitude for the partnership: “The generous funds raised will have a significant impact on our work throughout 2025, empowering us to challenge workplace practices that undermine women’s rights and advocate for safety and dignity in public spaces.”

AFPA Trust, formerly the Asset Finance Professionals Association, has been a registered charity since 2018. It raises funds for various causes through networking events that connect professionals in the asset finance and leasing sector.

Save the Date: 2026

AFPA Trust has confirmed that the International Women’s Day Lunch will return on Thursday, 5 March 2026, offering another opportunity to celebrate and support women in the finance industry.
