Addleshaw Goddard has hired banking litigation lawyer Harold Brako to its finance litigation practice.

Brako will join Addleshaw Goddard from Shoosmiths, where he serves as national head of receivables finance and litigation. Prior to working at Shoosmiths, Brako spent ten years at DLA Piper as a legal director.

As a partner at Addleshaw Goddard, Brako will be part of the northern finance litigation team based in Manchester, and will also work across the UK.

Brako has experience in banking and finance litigation, receivables finance, and banking disputes, which Addleshaw Goddard hopes will help strengthen the team.

Sally Butt, national head of financial services and finance litigation at Addleshaw Goddard, said: “His track record…allows us to significantly strengthen our already strong client relationships and build on our market leading reputation in both the Northern and national FS markets.”

Brako will start the role in January 2017.
