“Kamil brings a wealth of experience within the Polish asset finance market and will drive forward Acquis’ growth within the region.

James Rudolf, chief commercial officer at Acquis, said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Kamil to the Acquis team. Kamil’s track record within the asset finance market speaks for itself and we’re looking forward to working with him to offer the Polish leasing market an unrivalled fully outsourced insurance programme.”
Kamil Sokolowski said: “I’m hugely impressed with the culture and the ambitious expansion plans and I’m looking forward to working with my new colleagues to bring the strong foundations within the business into the Polish leasing market.
“In a time when lessors’ profit and loss is under increased interest margin pressure, it’s opportune that our insurance programme can increase lessor revenue and insurance penetration.”
In May, Acquis reported that the first full quarter of 2021 saw a wide divergence between different European countries in terms of lease volumes, according to the Acquis Insurance index for the first quarter of 2021.

This was to be expected, as a third wave of the pandemic hit different regions at different times, and the timing of reinstated lockdowns varied across regions, Acquis said in a statement.

Q1 2021 saw a continued downward trajectory for most European countries in the survey when compared to volumes in the first quarter of last year before the pandemic hit, with France experiencing the largest comparative downturn in lease inceptions fuelled by a third wave and strict lockdowns during the period.
